Marshall County approves personnel items

Marshall County School Board members approved numerous personnel items during a meeting Monday afternoon.
Superintendent Tim Nabors said an additional meeting may be scheduled later this summer to handle any additional personnel matters before the upcoming school year.
Resignations
Kelli Guffey, secondary English teacher at Asbury High School, resigning effective June 2.
Wanda Hastings, DAR high school bookkeeper, retiring effective July 1.
Martha Deal, DAR instructional aide, retiring effective July 1.
Transfers, effective for the 2009-10 school year, unless otherwise noted.
Wendy Kennamer, Asbury High School business education teacher, transferred to Grassy Elementary School counselor.
Amy Price, Title 1 resource specialist at AHS, transferring to assist principal at AHS.
Angie Blanchard, Marshall County Even Start preschool teacher transferring to AHS business education teacher.
Torre Aaron, AHS special education teacher transferring to fourth grade special ed teacher at Douglas Elementary School and head varsity softball coach at DHS.
Linda Finley, 10-month bookkeeper at Claysville Junior High School transferring to 12-month bookkeeper at DARHS. She will receive a supplement to continue bookkeeping duties at CJHS, effective July 1.
Paige Pelham, physical education aide at AHS transferring to secondary English teacher at AHS.
Steve Keller, half-time drivers ed at DARHS and Brindlee Mountain High School transferring to drivers ed teacher at DARHS.
Jeff Jones, social studies teacher at BMHS transferring to literacy coach at BMHS.

Danny Pope employed as instructional aide and girls junior high basketball coach at BMMS.
Sonya Stewart employed as a fourth grade teacher at DES.
Misty Dyar, employed as an elementary teacher at Grassy Elementary School.
Kenny Downs, math teacher and coach at DARHS.
Kerry Padgett employed as a Child Nutrition Program clerk and janitor with primary responsibilities at DHS, effective immediately.
David McCollum, employed as a social studies teacher and coach at AHS.
Marilyn Brown, elementary teacher at Sloman Primary School.
Trevor Mitchell, employed as a sixth grade teacher and middle school basketball coach and football coach at DMS.
Additional duties
Brian Edwards, physical education teacher at DARES assigned additional duties as junior varsity basketball coach at DARHS.
