Eagles to recognize great teams

Douglas High School will recognize three of its greatest teams during Friday night’s home game against Ashville.

The 2001-02 varsity boys county champions and the 2000-01 varsity boys Elite Eight club will be recognized during halftime of the varsity girls game.

The 2001-02 varsity girls squad that reached the Class 4A Final Four will be recognized during halftime of the varsity boys matchup.

Game rescheduled

Douglas boys head coach Anthony Stapler has announced the Eagles have rescheduled their home game with Guntersville for Dec. 21.

There will be five games at Loyd Berry Gym starting at 2 p.m. The schedule will be freshman boys, junior varsity girls, junior varsity boys, varsity girls and varsity boys.
