Crossville teen killed in motorcycle accident

A Geraldine High School student was killed Friday while driving a motorcycle.

Andrew James Fountain, 15, of Crossville, died at Huntsville Hospital.

He was driving a 2005 Honda motorcycle on DeKalb County Road 9, six miles east of Crossville.

His Honda motorcycle collided with a 1992 Ford Taurus driven by Jeannie Louise Wood, 27, of Guntersville, Alabama State Troopers said.

Wood was not injured in the accident at about 4:13 p.m. Friday.

Fountain was survived by his mother, Gwen Whigham, of Georgia; his father and stepmother, Jason and Connie Fountain, of Crossville; and siblings, Crystal Radford, Emily Clayton and Robert Clayton, all of Georgia.

Crossville Memorial Chapel Funeral home did not announce service times.
