Kevin Harvick swept past leader Martin Truex Jr. with 10 laps remaining Sunday and held on to claim his first career Texas win in the AAA Texas 500, clinching his spot in the upcoming Championship 4 of NASCAR’s Playoffs on Nov. 19 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Truex Jr. was the runner-up for the second week in a row, while Denny Hamlin came home third. Matt Kenseth and Brad Keselowski completed the top five.

In his final Texas start, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was 35th after a left-front wheel hub issue.

Joining Harvick in the Championship 4 will be Kyle Busch (last week’s winner at Martinsville) and Truex Jr., who’s accumulated enough points to advance despite no wins in the semifinal round.
