Teal returns for Eagles

Eli Teal, of Douglas, hurdles a would-be Brindlee Mountain tackler during the Eagles’ homecoming victory in 2019. The Reporter misidentified him in the Wednesday, July 1 edition. Teal, now a sophomore, received The Reporter/Sand Mountain Toyota Player of the Week honors after rushing 16 times for 243 yards and four touchdowns on offense and racking up four tackles, two pass breakups and one interception on defense against the Lions. Douglas kicks off the 2020 season by hosting Weaver on Aug. 21.
