Mitchell era starts Aug. 30

The Albertville football team kicks off the Cliff Mitchell era Aug. 30 when it hosts Columbia. Mitchell succeeded Dale Pruitt as the Aggies’ head coach in May.

Albertville High School football reserved seat renewal begins Aug. 12 from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the main office.

The last day to renew seats is Aug. 23. Open seat sales begin Aug. 26.

Each ticket costs $75 and includes admission to all regular season varsity and junior varsity home games.

The Aggies will host a jamboree against Moody on Aug. 23. Reserved seat tickets are not valid for the jamboree game.

Albertville’s 2019 home schedule is:

Aug. 30, Columbia

Sept. 6, Fort Payne

Sept. 27, Boaz

Oct. 4, Hazel Green (homecoming)

Oct. 11, Lee-Huntsville (senior night)

All games kick off at 7 p.m.

Albertville’s new head coach is Cliff Mitchell. He served as the assistant head coach under former head coach Dale Pruitt.

Mitchell joined the Aggie staff full-time under then-head coach Sam Graham in 2004. He’s the son of Marshall County Sports Hall of Fame member Rex Mitchell. Cliff played football for his father at Douglas.
