GUNTERSVILLE — Seventh-ranked Guntersville pounded Crossville 94-40 in the boys Class 5A, Area 14 Tournament semifinals Tuesday night.

The 94 points are a season high for the Wildcats, who broke a four-game losing streak. All four losses were to ranked teams.

“We really shot the ball well and felt rested having the week off,” Guntersville head coach Russell Carr said.

Logan Bonds pumped in 22 points, leading a trio of Wildcats who scored in double figures. Cavin Collie netted 20 and Blake Collins 10.

Banks Jolley’s 18 points topped Crossville. Blake Bouldin had 11.

The Cats met Arab in the tournament finals Friday night. Both teams will compete in the subregional playoffs Feb. 13.
