ALEXANDRIA — The Sardis varsity softball team posted a 3-0-1 record in the Alexandria Tournament played Friday and Saturday.

The Lions defeated Springville, Etowah and Alexandria. They tied with Walter Wellborn.

Bethany Chamblee earned two wins while Madelyn Gazaway recorded one win.

All of the Lions had at least one hit in the tournament.

Kameron Carter led Sardis with nine hits, including a home run. Chamblee collected five hits.

Jadie Fobbus and Kacee Mashburn both had four hits and Payton Golden three. Hayley Wofford, Krista Hubbard and Devin Holsonback contributed two each.

Madelyn Gazaway, Bailey White and Mackenzie Sarratt all finished with one hit.
