The Snead State Parsons ran their overall record to 12-5 and conference record to 2-0 with a 69-45 victory against Southern Union on Monday night. The Parsons have won four in a row and 12 of their last 14 games.

Dec. 13 at Roane State

The Parsons avenged a loss earlier in the week vs. Roane State with a 78-60 win on the road.

The Parsons trailed 36-35 at the half but took control in the second half and pulled away for the victory.

Gerald Gray Jr. led the parsons with 23 points on 10-of-16 shooting. He scored 21 of those in the second half.

DJ Goodmon chipped in 15 points. Mark Wilcox had 13 points, five rebounds, four steals and two blocks. Jeric Packer collected 11 points and four assists.

Dec. 19 vs. Chattanooga State

The host Parsons took control in the first half and led the entire game vs. Chattanooga State. The Parsons were up 36-21 at the half and won 65-56.

New Mexico State signee Jason King led the Parsons with 14 points. Wilcox had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Packer finished with six points and six assists.

Jan. 7 at Marion Military Institute

The Parsons took charge in the opening half and led 38-31 at the break in their conference opener. They pulled away in the second half to secure an 80-59 victory.

Gray paced the Parsons with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Shakari Williams added 17 points and five rebounds off the bench.

Jason King posted 14 points and nine rebounds, and Ralph Barnett had 10 points and six rebounds.

Jan. 13 vs. Southern Union

The Parsons took off early in the first half, leading by as many as 22 in the initial 20 minutes. The halftime score was 32-17.

The Parsons pulled away even more in the second half to take the 24-point victory.

King topped the Parsons with 22 points. Gray netted 16 points, and Wilcox had eight points and 12 rebounds.

SSCC travels to Shelton State on Thursday.
