2019-20 Samford cheer

Erica Williams, the 2015-16 cheer captain and valedictorian of Geraldine High School, was selected to cheer for the 2019-20 Samford University Bulldogs.

The cheerleaders perform at various events both on and off campus, as well as host several cheer clinics throughout the year.

The Bulldog football team suffered a loss in its season opener against Youngstown State on Aug. 24 at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery. Samford’s first home game is Sept. 21 against Alabama A&M at 6 p.m.

Samford will wrap up the season on Nov. 23 when they travel to Auburn to take on the Tigers.

Williams is the daughter of Van and Patti Williams of the Whiton community.
