Albertville welcomes holidays

Organizer calls 2012 Christmas Parade ‘best’ in the past 3 years

Posted: Friday, December 7, 2012 3:54 pm | Updated: 4:06 pm, Fri Dec 7, 2012.

The weather outside was far from frightful. It was 60 degrees. And, the fire... truck from Albertville throwing candy was delightful. For the multitude of children who swarmed like waves crawling back and forth across a shore to collect the sugary bounty, the Albertville Christmas Parade Thursday night in downtown Albertville was a successful event.

The parade started with a tree-lighting ceremony of the city’s new permanent Christmas tree in Rotary Park. The ceremony included a performance by Miss Alabama Anna Laura Bryan who sang, “My Grownup Christmas List.”
