Boaz Police Chief says drug arrests have increased ‘drastically’ during his tenure

Boaz Police Chief Terry Davis hopes fewer people will take chances on their lives in 2013.

According to year-end department reports, police officers responded to 26,223 calls last year. They made 2,800 arrests, including 146 felony arrests and 2,654 misdemeanor arrests. Officers also filed 2,834 incident reports and 284 miscellaneous reports last year.
