Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey appointed Snead State Community College President Dr. Robert Exley to serve on a board that brings together providers of workforce services, including governmental, educational and private sector stakeholders.
Exley will represent SSCC by serving on the North Alabama Works! Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Region I Board. As a member, he will assist with the development of the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act programs and service in the region.
North Alabama Works! is a non-profit organization established to do the work of Region 1, a 13-county — Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marion, Marshall, Morgan and Winston —workforce region.
