A single-vehicle accident on Alabama 205 has knocked out power in a large portion of Boaz.

According to Boaz Police Chief Terry Davis, a truck struck a power pole at Alabama 205 and Willow Street at about 3:15 p.m. The impact knocked out power to a large area of the city, including many stoplights on U.S. 431 and about half the stoplights in the downtown area, Davis said.

I hope people don't blame this on alcohol.
Blame the drunk, not the drink. :)
Well, if in fact the driver was drunk.
But, why hasn't the name been released? How will the name hinder an opened investigation?
