Boaz responds to suspected school shooting threat

Posted: Wednesday, January 23, 2013 3:58 pm | Updated: 4:33 pm, Wed Jan 23, 2013.

The Boaz City School System recently got to test its security protocols when two students at Boaz High School were overheard saying what some believed was a threat to bring weapons to school and use them.

During the investigation, school officials determined there was never a serious threat to the school’s students or personnel, but the two students did receive “severe consequences” for their actions, according to Superintendent Mark Isley.

What happened to people wanting to be a freelance photographer? Nowadays kids discuss games that involve so much violence and illegal guns. Something should change. That is rather unacceptable.

Going back to school can sometimes be a problem when you look at problems like this one here. Shooting in schools wasn't something you could consider 20 years ago. Nowadays it's happening more often. Why?

Great job at being pro-active, but if they were seriously just talking about a video game, isn't this carrying it a little to far?
