'A new type of adventure'

Albertville native and Snead State Community College graduate Daniel Williams, will begin his second year of teaching math overseas in the far reaches of China, a work and cultural experience he said started out simply enough by his hunger for “a new type adventure.”

Williams, who learned of the position at TLC International School from neighbor Edwin Velez, said that since last summer, he’s enjoyed the unique responsibility of educating children in grades six through 11, while getting to experience an eye-opening culture shock all his own.
