The newly established Miss River City Scholarship Pageant will be held Oct. 28 at 4:30 in the theater of Hartselle High School. The pageant is an official Miss Alabama Preliminary. The pageant is open to young women who live or attend school in Cullman, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, Morgan or Winston Counties. Two young women will be crowned – River City Outstanding Teen for ages 13 to 17 and Miss River City for ages 18 to 25.

Decatur native Anna Laura Bryan Strider, Miss Alabama 2012 and Miss Alabama 2018, Callie Walker will emcee and entertain the pageant. The two winners will represent the River City Pageant at the State level pageants, Alabama Outstanding Teen and Miss Alabama.

There will also be a Rising Star Mentoring Program the day of the pageant. It is for young ladies ages seven to 11 years of age.
