Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) will gather in Boaz on Monday to celebrate the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Beginning at 11 a.m., the VFW’s annual Veterans Day ceremony will feature special guest speaker Lt. Col. Allin Whittle. He will talk about veterans and the sacrifices they made during their call to serve.

During the ceremony, there will be a 21-gun salute and a wreath will be laid to honor veterans across the nation.

The ceremony has been held at the Marshall County Courthouse in Guntersville for many years, but this year it will be held at Old Mill Park, which is located at 10315 Alabama Highway 168 in Boaz.
