Incorrect dates were printed on the Marshall County 2019 Valuation Notices.

“Despite having correct proofs, the printer mistakenly used the dates from last year’s notices,” Revenue Commissioner Michael Johnson said.

He wants everyone to know the last day to file a formal protest of value with the Board of Equalization is Aug. 5.

“Fortunately, we are working with a very creditable vendor, which immediately took responsibility for the mistake and will be sending out corrected notices at its expense,” he said.

Delivery of corrected notices should begin as early as this week.

“We regret any confusion this has created and encourage anyone with a question to come by the office or call us at 256- 571-7811,” Johnson said.
