In search of a zany way to give back while having fun and being frugal? Then Shepherd’s Cove Thrift Shoppe has the perfect night out for you.

The second annual Nifty Thrifty Night Out will be held in the Shepherd’s Cove Thrift Shoppe’s event space on Thursday, June 20, from 6 to 9 p.m., according to Shepherd’s Cove Thrift Shoppe Director Samantha May.

“Nifty Thrifty Night Out is a fun and unique opportunity to enjoy dinner and live music and show off your best Thrift Shoppe attire,” May said. “Whether you go wacky or snazzy, we encourage everyone attending to find their outfit for $10 or less at the Shepherd’s Cove Thrift Shoppe.”

May said the cost is $15 per person, which includes dinner and a coupon to the Shepherd’s Cove Thrift Shoppe to use toward the attire for the evening. She said tickets can be purchased online at or in store at 1325 U.S. Highway 431 in Albertville.

May said there would be an outfit awards presentation. She said the event would also feature a silent auction of unique and collectible items donated from the Thrift Shoppe. These items were pulled from donations specifically for this event, so they have never been on the sales floor, she said.

“We are so excited to get together with our friends and community members for this fun evening,” May said. “We had a blast at the first annual event last year laughing at the outrageous outfits while celebrating and supporting the work and mission of Shepherd’s Cove hospice, palliative care and grief support programs. Everybody deserves to have peace and hope at the end of life, and Shepherd’s Cove provides that. This is one way we help provide for the mission and just have a fun night.”
