Folks at Boaz Senior Center prepare food for Harvest Festival

Posted: Monday, October 1, 2012 3:58 pm

The Boaz Senior Center has a booth at the Boaz Harvest Festival every year where they sell a variety of homemade food and desserts.

The ladies at the center gather in the facility’s kitchen weeks ahead of time to begin preparing the large amount of food they will sell throughout the two-day event. On Friday and Saturday, they will begin selling breakfast items, including an assortment of biscuits, at 7 a.m. As the day progresses, they will pull out all the goodies, like fried apple pies, sweet potato pies and other fried pies; vegetable soup and chili; cornbread; hot dogs; and Frito chili pies.

Does someone here know something about how to help your child be more organized when traveling? I would like to come to your festival, but my kid needs to learn about being more sensitive about parental needs first.
