Sardis 8th-graders start 7-0 on new season

The Sardis Middle School eighth-grade girls basketball team is off to a great start. The Lions are 7-0 and won the Sardis Tipoff Tournament played Oct. 26-28. Sardis roared to a 3-0 record in the tournament. The Lions crushed Coosa Christian 57-4 behind Sidney Rutledge’s 21 points. Sardis beat Albertville 33-20 as Cadiance Massey pumped in 13. The Lions hammered West End 55-6 as Kaylen Wallace and Autumn Abernathy tossed in 13 points each.
