Robert Arthur “Bob” Guillebeau

Robert Arthur “Bob” Guillebeau, 88, of Albertville died Aug. 23, 2019.

He was born in Augusta, Georgia the son of Otis Polk and Rebecca Guillebeau.

He was educated at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. He is survived by his special friend, Bobbie Young; his son, Mike Guillebeau (Lynn); daughter, Cathy Parker; four granddaughters; one great granddaughter; two great grandsons.

Mr. Guillebeau was employed by Mitchell Grocery for 17 years as an accountant. Bob was a member of Albertville First Baptist Church and remained active with two local bridge clubs. He enjoyed writing poetry, was a competitive tennis player for many years and enjoyed leading people to the Lord. He stated that one of his greatest accomplishments was reading the Bible through 11 times.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 25, at 11 a.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Cannady and Rev. Chris Johnson officiating. “Say not in grief, ‘He is no more.’ But, live in thankfulness that he was.”

Thomas Roberts, 56, of Boaz, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2019.

His funeral service will be today, Saturday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. at Boaz Carr Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30-2 p.m. before the service.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Roberts; daughter, Brianna Roberts; son, Josh Roberts; one grandson; mother, Regina Roberts; sisters, Susan Dobbs (Freddie), Gina Gibson; brothers, Jimmy Roberts, Jr., David Roberts, Gabe Roberts, Steven Roberts.

Mary Jo Potridge, 89, of Boaz, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019.

Her funeral service was held Friday, Sept. 13, at Boaz Carr Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Wayne White and Rev. Jimmy Harrison officiated the service.

She is survived by her sons, Thomas Potridge (Vicky), David Potridge (Brenda); three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Vaughn (Lewis) and Marie Smith; brother, Thomas Mintz (Martha).

Daniel Everett Grubb, 53, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away in Kansas City, Missouri, on Aug. 29, 2019. Daniel is survived by Virginia Kodger, mother; Tommy Grubb, brother; Tammy Brooks, sister; Kathy Myrick, sister; Anthony Grubb, brother; Mark Grubb, brother; Ellen Tringali, sister; Jacqueline Garcia, stepdaughter and Kevin Vanhorn, stepson.

Memorial services will be held at Pineview Church, located at 1451 Mayo Rd., Altoona, today, Saturday, Sept.14. Visitation will be from 2-4:30 p.m. Service following at the church memorial.

Roger England, 69, of Albertville, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019.

His funeral service will be today, Saturday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at Victory Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Jason King, Rev. Tony Holcomb and Rev. Brandon Bruce will officiate the service.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Oliver (Chris); sons, Mike England (Linda), Jake England (Sonya); five grandchildren; brothers, Malcom England, Zeb England (Tena), Tommy Harris (Deb) and Johnny Poss.

Crossville Memorial Chapel is directing.
