Cynthia Diane Carroll


Cynthia Diane Carroll, 58, of Boaz, passed away Monday, Feb. 10.

Per her request she was cremated and a Memorial Service was held Wednesday, Feb. 12, at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel. 

She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Mann, Natasha McBrayer; sister, Debbie Richards; and three grandchildren.

Albertville Funeral Home Downtown assisted the family with arrangements.


Lamar “Bill” Whitt


Lamar “Bill” Whitt, 90, of Attalla, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9.

Funeral services are today, Thursday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. at Etowah Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Kyuka Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. before the service at the funeral home. Rev. Joe Wise, Rev. Stanley Naylor and Sister Linnie Jo Carroll officiate. 

He is survived by his wife of 69 years Katherine Whitt; daughter, Kathy Kilpatrick (Drexel); son, Rickey Whitt; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Etowah memorial Chapel is directing.


Phillip Roland Morrow


Phillip Roland Morrow, 72, of Horton, passed away Monday, Feb. 13.

Funeral services are today, Thursday, Feb. 13 at 1:30 p.m. at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel with burial to follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery in the Hyatt Community. Johnny Morrow and Larry Gunter will officiate.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Miller Morrow; sister, Nadine Henry; and brothers, Johnny Morrow, D.L. Morrow.

Albertville Funeral Home Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.


Faye Hamric


Faye Hamric, 80, of Crossville, passed away Monday, Feb. 10.

Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Crossville Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Rev. Pete Chadwick, Rev. Chris Guinn, Rev. Derreck Lowrey and Rev. Wes Lowrey will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m.

She is survived by her children, Wes (Pam) Lowrey, Jackie (Betty) Lowrey, Paige (Jimmy) Smith; step-son, Jon (Deanna) Hamric, 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Doris Jones. 

Crossville Memorial Chapel is directing.


Billy W. Watson


Billy W. Watson, 77, of Boaz, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9.

Funeral service were held Tuesday, Feb 11, at McRae Chapel with Bro. Kerry Bryant officiating. Burial followed in the Sardis Cemetery. 

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Leah Watson of Boaz and Tony Watson of Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Scott Sherrer of Tennessee; mother, Villa Watson of Tennessee; and four grandchildren.
