An Attalla woman landed in the Marshall County Jail after being spotted driving a stolen vehicle.

According to Marshall County Sheriff Assistant Chief Deputy Steve Guthrie, a blue, four door Jeep was stolen from a residence in Albertville on Monday, Aug. 19.

On Sunday, Aug. 25, deputies spotted the vehicle with a switched tag just outside of Boaz, he said.

Guthrie said the Jeep was stopped, and Amanda Lee Sears, 30, of Attalla, was identified as the driver. He said Sears was taken into custody and charged with first degree receiving stolen property. An inventory of the vehicle resulted in the seizer of scales and used syringes, and he said Sears was also charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sears is being held on a $6,000 bond.
