Jodi Skinner, president of the Boaz Area Chamber of Commerce, recently stepped down from her position.
In a statement to The Reporter, Dale Morton, who is current chairman of the Board of Directors of the Boaz Area Chamber of Commerce, said Skinner submitted a letter of resignation Tuesday, Oct. 22, to “pursue other employment opportunities.”
The chamber’s complete statement is as follows:
“The Boaz Chamber of Commerce announces that Chamber President Jodi Skinner has submitted her letter of resignation which is to take effect immediately. Her letter of resignation stated that she was resigning to pursue other employment opportunities.
“The Chamber Board of Directors would like to thank Jodi for her thoughtful service and dedication to the chamber and to the Boaz community as a whole. It has been an honor and privilege to work and be associated with Jodi. The chamber offers the best of wishes and success to Jodi in her future endeavors. We express a profound sense of gratitude to Jodi for her guidance and leadership.
“In the interim, the chamber will continue to work with businesses, community leaders and local government to continue to build a brighter future in the City of Boaz and surrounding areas. Morton said the board would meet Wednesday, Oct. 30, to discuss future plans and potential candidates to replace Skinner.
