Boaz junior running back Kadin Bennefield is The Reporter/Sand Mountain Toyota Player of the Week for week four of the 2019 high school football season.
Bennefield rushed for a career-high 240 yards on 16 carries, propelling the Pirates to a 38-8 nonregion win over Pisgah. He averaged 15 yards a carry.
He scored touchdowns on runs of 41 and 45 yards.
For the season, Bennefield has rushed 62 times for 572 yards and nine scores. He’s averaging 9.2 yards per carry.

Tyler Helton contributed an interception and Alex Tarvin a fumble recovery in Boaz’s victory.
Fyffe Red Devils
No. 1 Fyffe racked up 391 yards total offense, including 349 rushing, in a 47-6 victory over Asbury.
Fyffe used nine ball carriers, paced by Evan Chandler’s 72 yards on 11 carries. Brodie Hicks ran 14 times for 70 yards. Ike Rowell had one attempt for 64 yards and a touchdown, and Eli Benefield carried once for 57 yards and a score.
Class 3A, No. 9 Geraldine rushed for 273 yards in a 49-7 pounding of unbeaten Region 7 rival New Hope.
Anthony Baldwin led the Bulldogs with 90 yards on 12 attempts, including touchdown runs of 3 and 17 yards. Caleb Hall carried eight times for 82 yards. He contributed a 51-yard touchdown run.
Kyle Thackerson rushed 19 yards for a TD and also returned a punt 62 yards for a score.
Troy Willoughby topped Geraldine’s defense with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery. Jackson Bearden made nine tackles and Tyler Hughes seven.
Guntersville rallied for a 45-42 triumph over Arab, with Zak Burnett throwing the game-winning 6-yard touchdown pass to Campbell Leach with 32 seconds remaining.
Burnett finished 20-of-29 passing for 209 and two scores, both to Leach, who caught eight passes for 52 yards. Brandon Fussell had six receptions for 51 yards.
Logan Pate rushed 23 times for 200 yards and three touchdowns on runs of 45, 5 and 14 yards.
Guntersville’s Donovan Roby returned a fumble for a touchdown, and Jack Harris and Jerrell Williamson both contributed an interception. Williamson’s interception sealed the Wildcats’ victory.
Sardis scored on offense, defense and special teams in a 67-0 smashing of Douglas.
Trey Dalrymple for 32 yards and Jacob Hopper for 10 yards returned fumbles for Sardis touchdowns. Peyton Wehrwein returned a punt 42 yards to the end zone.
Luke Morris scored on runs of 1 and 32 yards. Temon Wilson ran 68 yards for a score and caught a 15-yard TD pass from Jay Owens, who also completed three two-point conversion passes.
Brody Samples contributed an 82-yard TD run for the Lions.
Ben Allen completed 18-of-23 passes for 169 yards in a 31-7 loss to Cullman. He rushed 8 yards for the Aggies’ touchdown.
Hayden Mann caught seven passes for 85 yards.
Cade Boman paced Albertville’s defense with 12 tackles. Chi Jordan had nine stops.
Austin Bloodworth rushed for 85 yards on nine carries, including a 55-yard touchdown, in a loss to Fyffe.
Josh Gorriz topped the Rams with eight tackles. McKinley Orr recorded seven stops.
