Mary Breedlove Bearden, 79, of Geraldine, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2019 at her residence.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at Geraldine Funeral Home with Geraldine Funeral Home directing,

She is survived by her daughters, Tina Cox; husband, Greg, of Decatur; Rhonda Parris and husband, Briggs, of Geraldine; seven grandchildren, Jason Conner, Joseph Conner, Ashley McCulloch, Hannah Davis, Brad Parris, Andrea Parris and Matt Cox; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy H. Bearden; parents BC and Edna Breedlove; daughter Neva Lynn Chastain; sister Betty Ann Armstorng.

Sarah Elizabeth Hancock Holmes


Sarah Elizabeth Hancock Holmes, 82, of Oneonta, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019.

Her funeral services were Wednesday, Oct. 9, at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown with Danny Skillman officiating. Burial followed in Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery at Snead.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Harris (Wayne), Carolyn Skillman and Donna Estes; sons, Bobby Holmes, Alton “Pug” Holmes (Wanda), Jeffrey Holmes; sisters, Margaret Abbot (Kenneth), Lois Mason and Sue Williams; brother, Roy Hancock; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.

Albertville Funeral Home Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.

Danielle Thompson


Danielle Thompson, 42, of Boaz, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019.

Her funeral service will be today, Thursday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Hill Mausoleum. Rev. Bill Rucker will officiate. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. before the service.

She is survived by her children, Rebekah, Jason, Jacob, Joshua and Emma Goodno; father, David Woodruff; and stepfather, Buster Culpepper.

Albertville Memorial Chapel is directing.
