An 18-year-old man from Boaz was recently arrested and booked on multiple sodomy charges.
After receiving a report of alleged sodomy Tuesday, Nov. 12, Boaz Police Chief Josh Gaskin said investigators worked quickly to gather evidence and interview the suspect. The suspect confessed to the allegations when he was interviewed, Gaskin said. The suspect was arrested on Nov. 14 and charged with first degree sodomy — forcible compulsion, second degree sodomy, enticing a child for immoral purposes and incest.
The suspect was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he is being held on a $100,000 bond.
