Two people started the weekend in the Marshall County Jail with drug related charges.
According to Marshall County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Assistant Chief Deputy Steve Guthrie, Michael Christopher Gray, 37, of Scottsboro, was arrested by the MCSO deputies Friday, June 29.
Guthrie said Gray was walking into traffic on Alabama Highway 79, north of Guntersville. He said Gray was charged with possession of a controlled substance - Suboxone and public intoxication. He said Gray was released on a $2,500 bond. Guthrie said a call was later received about a “white male subject” who was knocking on doors along Alabama Highway 79 on Monday, July 1. He said deputies responded, and again, found Gray at the location, and again, was found to be in possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine and Lyrica. Gray was charged, and his bond was revoked from the previous case, Guthrie said.
During a separate incident, Guthrie said deputies arrested April Nichole White, 40, of Albertville, on Friday, June 29, and charged her with first-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of a controlled substance - methamphetamine. Guthrie said White’s total bond was set at $3,500. Alabama State Troopers assisted with the arrest, he said.
