A vehicle burst into flames after being struck on U.S. Highway 431 Thursday, May 30.

Albertville Fire Department responded to the intersection of U.S. Highway 431 and Chloris Street. Marshall Health Systems made the call.

“Traffic was stopped at a red light in the right lane,” Albertville Fire Chief Brad Hix said. “A car tried to cross the lane and was hit by a pick-up truck.”

Three people were injured in the crash. Two, including the driver of the pickup truck, were sent to Marshall Medical Center South and the other was sent to Huntsville Hospital with a broken ankle.

As of Monday afternoon, Hix said each person’s current condition is unknown.
