Boaz

Michael E. Mann, 73 of, Boaz passed Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019 at his residence.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy where he was a Boiler Check on the Midway Carrier Ship. Special thanks to the staff of Encompass Hospice and to all other family and friends during his illness.

He will have a memorial graveside at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, at Hillcrest Cemetery.

Michael is survived by his wife, Darlene Mann; sons, Mark Mann, Keith Mann, Teddy Castor; chosen daughter, Cherry Clanton; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Bill, Lesley and Linda Mann. He is preceded in death by his parents; William and Verna Dean Mann; daughter, Sabrina Castor Mann.

Etowah Memorial Chapel is directing.

Braunda Fuller Gilbert, 92, of Crossville passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2019.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 18, at Skirum United Methodist Church with Bro. Paul Vick officiating. Burial followed in Skirum Cemetery.

Survivors are nieces, Lisa (Jim) Smith of Vestavia, AL, Sue Combs Wilkerson, of Geraldine; nephew, Marcus “Butch” Combs of Geraldine; cousin, Tammy (Jim) Formby, of Dawson.

Denson C. Quarles, 92, of Huntsville passed away Friday, Nov. 15, 2019.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 18, at Etowah Memorial Chapel with burial that followed at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Rev. David Martin officiated.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Ann Quarles; children, Reginald Wayne Quarles, Charles Rodney Quarles (Debbie), Mark Allison Quarles (Candy), David Brian Quarles (Sharon); three grandchildren.

Lila G. Michael, 62, of Albertville passed away on Saturday Nov. 16, 2019.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 5-8 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Chapel. Bro. Earnie Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Memory Hill.

Survivors are her daughter, Sheri Wilson (Montinus Stitts), two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother, Wyomia Petty; sisters, Amanda Miller (Randy Winkles), Mary Darwin (Ricky); brothers, David Portwood, Danny Portwood (Cindy), Jimmy Portwood (Arlett).

Olene Grace Saint Reno, 85, of Boaz passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019.

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 18, at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel. Burial followed in Douglas Cemetery. Chad Hallcox officiated.

She is survived by her daughter, Molly Gertrude Newberry of Boaz; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren.

Albertville Funeral Home Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.

Zackery Ryan Tinsley Stone

Zackery Ryan Tinsley Stone, 24, of Albertville passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019.

Funeral services will be today, Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Highpoint Cemetery. Rev. Brandon Baker will be officiating.

Zackery is survived by his parents, Shane Stone (Gina), Connie Tinsley; brother and sisters, Emily Harvell, Issac Tinsley, Lylah Stone, Kayla Echols, Ava Stone, Isabella Stone; grandparents: Jeannie Volkel (Len), Rene Durham.

Rev. Skeet Waddell

Southside

Rev. Skeet Waddell, 67, of Southside, Associate Pastor of Refiners Fire Mission, went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ Friday, Nov. 15, 2019.

His homegoing will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Miller Hollow Community Church with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Rev. Jack Bearden, Rev. Mitchell Gibbs, Rev. Lisa Kennedy and Rev. Mike Hooks Sr. will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. for family and from 5-8 p.m. for everyone, Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Miller Hollow Community Church located at 1528 Miller Hollow Rd. Attalla, Alabama 35954.

Skeet is survived by his wife: Rose; sons, Sloan (Kendall), Cain, Caleb (Molly); eight grandchildren; brothers: Marvin, Doyle, Gary, Glen; sisters: Linda and Judy.
