Minnie Owens Echols Tibbitt
Minnie Owens Echols Tibbitt, 90, of Boaz, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, at Barfield Health Care in Guntersville.
Her funeral service is today, Thursday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Rev. John Pond will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2 p.m. before the service.
She is survived by her children, Joyce Watters (Mac), Sheila Smith (Michael) and Keith Echols (Judy); ten grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren; step-son, Coy Tibbitt (Delores); sisters, Gladys Smith and Sula Campbell; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, John L. Echols and James A. Tibbitt; son, Roger Echols; parents, Walter and Bertha Owens; five brothers and two sisters.

Vida Ellen Baker Fox
Vida Ellen Baker Fox, 95, of the Carlisle Community, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, at the home of her daughter, Martha Hudson. Mrs. Fox was born Nov. 16, 1924, in Bibb County. She was the first born child of James Thomas Baker and Harriet Levonia Aultman Baker. She was a long time member of the Carlisle Church of God and was retired from the Lee Company.
Mrs. Fox was preceded in death by her husband, Madison Hamilton “Matt” Fox; her parents; and a brother, William Joseph “Billy” Baker. She is survived by her daughters, Martha Hudson and her husband, Claudie, and Ilene Hopper; son, M. H. Fox; granddaughters, Rachel Whisenant, Angela Jackson and her husband, Dwayne, Jennie Hopper, and Dana Miller and her husband, Jeremy; grandsons: Foster Hudson, Nathan Fox, Tollie Hudson and his wife, Alicia, and Anthony Hopper and his wife, April; great-granddaughters, Heather Stanfield, Meighan Hudson, Ashlee Jackson, and Madison Hopper; great-grandsons, Bruce Brumblow and his wife, Crissy, Andy Brumblow, Matthew Hudson, Jonah Miller, Caleb Hudson, Josh Jackson, Brody Miller, Arrie Hudson and Aaron Hudson; great-great-grandaughters: Jazmine Stanfield and Jacey Brumblow; great-great-grandsons: Justin Stanfield, Jagger Stanfield, Hunter Brumblow, and Bo Brumblow; and sister: Shirley Hale.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Etowah Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Tollie Hudson and Rev. Jonah Miller officiated. Music was provided by Alicia Hudson. Entombment followed in the Hudson-Fox Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were great-grandsons: Bruce Brumblow, Andy Brumblow, Jonah Miller, Caleb Hudson, Josh Jackson, Brody Miller, and Justin Stanfield.
Etowah Memorial Funeral Home directed.
Matt Self, 46, of Boaz, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2020.
He will have a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 29, at West End High School Game Gym with visitation from 1 p.m. until the service. Rev. Jimmy Umphrey, Rev. Michael Knight and Rev. Chad Roberson will be officiating.

Mae Belle Cagle Ogle, 90, of Horton, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2020.
Funeral services are today, Thursday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel with burial to follow in Marshall Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Verlon Willmon will officiate.
She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Perry and Sarah Lang (Allen); sons, Mark Ogle (Kelly) and Tim Ogle (Lynn); sisters, Laura Makowski and Barbara Little (Johnny); 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Douglas Cemetery. Bro. Gene Lambert officiated.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Holland; daughters, Angela Douglas (Brandon), April Pilkington (Jason) and Amy Holland (Scotty); seven grandchildren; and brother, Craig Holland.
