Kelli Clemons, 59, a native of Albertville, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2020, at her home in Palm Harbor, Florida.

She was a daughter of Dr. Jack K. and Annette Clemons, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include her brother and sister-n-law, Don and Susan Clemons of Bentonville, Arkansas; sisters and brother-n-law, Michele and Steve Bake of Jackson and Valerie Clemons of Albertville; nephew, David Clemons and his wife, Carla, of Monroe, Georgia; niece, Katie Clemons Milner, and her husband, Dixon, of Bentonville; great-nephew, James Sheppard Milner; and special friend, Paul Lynskey of Dunedin, Florida.

A private graveside service will take place at a later date. A Life Tribute Funeral Care in in charge of the arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Crimson Tide Foundation at, or Box 870343, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487-0343.

Betty Sue Nelms, 80, of Dawson, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Geraldine Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Kidd officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery. Geraldine Funeral Home directed.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Wade, of Dawson; son, Jimmy (P.J.) Nelms, of Albertville; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Carlos “Chilin” Salazar Zatarain


Carlos “Chilin” Salazar Zatarain, 47, of Boaz, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020.

He will have a graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon-1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home before the service.

Zatarain is survived by his wife, Chara Zatarain; children, Carlos Alberto Zatarain, Kina Roslyn Zatarain, Derek Ramon Zatarain, Jason Eliseo Zatarain; parents, Eliseo Zatarain and Clara Salazar; brother, Abel Zatarain; and sisters, Cruz Zatarain, Berta Zatarain, Elida Zatarain and Maria Zatarain.

Etowah Memorial Chapel is directing.

Harry Wooldridge, 74, of Altoona, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2020.

Funeral services are today, Thursday, Feb. 6, at 11 a.m. at Adams Brown Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

He is survived by one grandchild; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Higtindotham (Paul), Marjoie Mayars; brothers, Tommy Wooldridge (Annette), brother-in-law, Corkey.

Jameson Alexander Masters, 24, of Albertville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020.

A celebration of life was held Wednesday, Feb. 5, at East Albertville Missionary Baptist Church. Bro. Shannon Burbanks officiated.

Margaret Elizabeth Hart Dyar


Margaret Elizabeth Hart Dyar, 81, of Boaz, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown Chapel with burial to follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery at Mt. Hebron. Jason King and Roger Igou will officiate.

She is survived by her husband, Milton Dyar; daughter, Peggy Duckett (Mike); sons, Chuck Dyar (Peggy), Chris Dyar (Gwen); sister, Debra Flatt (Rick); brothers, Billy Hart (Nancy), Gary Hart (Betty), Steve Hart (Ramona); seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Albertville Funeral Home Downtown is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ollie Taylor, 75, of Boaz, passed away on Monday, Feb 3, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 6, at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery.

Taylor is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Lavell and Raeshel LeMaster, Phillip and Myra LeMaster, all of Boaz; son-in-law, Randy Milam; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and sister, Mattie Norris, of Grant.

Robert “Neal” Cooley


Robert “Neal” Cooley, 83, of Albertville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020.

Funeral services are today, Thursday, Feb. 6, at 2:30 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Chapel. Tony Simmons will be the speaker. Burial will follow in Memory Hill.

Survivors included a sister, Dolly Gunter and brother, Jerry Cooley (Myra).
