Patsy Ann Peppers Carroll

Patsy Ann Peppers Carroll, 67, of Albertville passed away peacefully at home Feb. 28, 2020, after a courageous battle, lasting over 21 years, against cancer with her family by her side. A chapel funeral service was held Monday, March 2, at W.T. Wilson Funeral Home in Rainsville with Bro. Rickie Williams and Bro. Wayne Tarvin officiating. Burial followed at Myrtletree Baptist Church Cemetery in Albertville.

Patsy was born to Rev. William Cohen Peppers and Nell Jo Hartbarger Peppers in 1952, and grew up on Sand Mountain. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Rufus, Dewey and Johnny. She was a lady full of love and devotion to her family; sacrificing her own time and health to help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Remaining behind to cherish her memory is her husband, Joe; four children, Tambra (James) Ferguson, Kevin Hornbuckle, Denise Carroll and Danny Carroll. She was a devoted Nanny to James William “Jamie” (Danielle) Ferguson, Tambra Nicole “Sissy” (Skylar) Kaylor, Timothy “Bubba” (Megan) Ferguson, Dale Willett, Will Hornbuckle,, Marie Barkley and Lori (Timmons) Fleming. Great-grandchildren, Beaudreaux, Charlie, Raymond, Allison, Maggie, Dylan, Kaydence, Riley and Carter.

The family wishes to thank the home health nurses, hospice and friends that supported and loved Patsy. She may be out of sight, but she’ll never be out of mind.

W. T. Wilson Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Susan Lee Wilder, 57, of Horton, passed away on Friday, Feb. 28, 2020.

No services are planned as the family has chosen cremation.

She is survived by her husband, Rodney Wilder; daughter, Lundon Wilder; son, Derrick Pannell; mother, Betty Box; sisters, Kim Verner (Earl), Tonya Box, Robin Canady (Dale); brother, John Casey.

Arrangements entrusted to Adams Brown Service Funeral Home.

Lillie Vernell Owens

Huntsville (formerly of Albertville)

Lillie Vernell Owens, 93, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020.

Her funeral service was held on Sunday, Mar. 2, at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Burial followed at Hillcrest Cemetery. Dr. Rev. George Miller officiated the services.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Lynn; one granddaughter; one granddaughter-in-law; four great- grandchildren, one great great-grandchild.

Albertville Memorial Chapel directed.

David Eugene Dooley

Albertville

David Eugene Dooley, 59, of Albertville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020.

He is survived by his wife, Karen Dooley; daughters, Cherae Ellsworth (Derek) and Sarah Faye Dooley; two grandchildren.

There was a family gathering in David’s honor at his home on Sunday, March 1. David’s wishes were to be cremated.

Albertville Memorial Chapel directed.
