James Thrasher, 59, of Albertville, passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2019.

Graveside services were held Tuesday, Dec. 31 at Nixon Chapel. Bro. Larry Walls officiated.

He is survived by his sons, Gem Thrasher, Cody Thrasher, Steven Brewster; two grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Bradley.

J. L. Bolton, 86, of Crossville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.

Funeral services are today, Saturday, Jan. 4, at 2 p.m. at the Geraldine Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jeff Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in the DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 p.m. until time of service.

He is survived by his son, Jeffery Lynn Bolton of Tennessee; daughter Gwynn Bolton (Michael Washington) of Crossville; brothers, C. B. Bolton of Geraldine, Billy Bolton of Crossville, Hollis Bolton of Skirum, Jerry Dale Bolton of Georgia; sisters, Francis Hicks of Bryant, Wanda Lee Heard of Bryant.

Michael Loran Johnson, 64, of Albertville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Johnson; mother, Mary Evelyn Johnson; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Jeff Cornelius; son, Lee (Ryan) Hamilton; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Christy Johnson; sister, Terri (Beth) Johnson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill and Brenda Tech, Olen and Lynn Morrison.

Ronald Chavies, 73, of Boaz, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.

His funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 3, at Boaz Carr Chapel. Interment followed at Red Apple Cemetery. Rev. Frankie Umphrey officiated the service.

He is survived by his brother and sister, Donald Chavies and Alicia McClendon.

Vermell Gladys Powell, 96, of Boaz, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2019.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, Dec. 31, at Hillcrest Cemetery with Bro. Paul Lackey officiating.

She is survived by her sister, Maggie Ramey of Anniston; several nieces and nephews.

The family will accept flowers or suggests donations to Carlisle Baptist Church.

William Earl Walden, 81, of Albertville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 3 at Albertville Funeral Home Downtown with Neal Faucett officiating. Burial followed in New Harmony Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Thresia Rowe Walden; daughters, Connie Stidger, Karan Walden (John Jones), Tammy Decker (Elton), Heather Jones (Jamie); sons, Chris Ward, Cody Ward, Keith Walden, Heath Willoughby (Lee Nation); 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
