James A. Bishop, 72, of Boaz, passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019.

Graveside services were held Sunday, Dec. 15, at Liberty Hill-Smith Institute with speaker, David Gilbreth.

He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Nix; son, Kenneth Bishop (Sandra); three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Elizabeth Blair.

Arrangements entrusted to Adams Brown Service Funeral Home.

Lila Mae Pair

Albertville

Lila Mae Pair, 88, of Albertville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019.

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 16, at Asbury United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery. Bro. Daniel Pope, Bro. Donnie Patterson and Bro. Gene Lambert officiated.

She is survived by her daughter, Regina Sanders (Kenneth); sons, Jeffrey Rains (Donna), Mark Rains (Shawnee); sister, Margaret Reeves; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

Albertville Funeral Home Downtown assisted the family with arrangements.

Mildred Sue Noojin

Boaz

Mildred Sue Noojin, 86, of Boaz, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2019.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 15, at McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Farrell Blanks officiating.

She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Farrell Blanks, Karen and Steve McDowell; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Richard Jaco

Albertville

Richard Jaco 66, of Albertville passed away Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home was entrusted with Mr. Jaco’s care. Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 15, at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Marshall Memory Gardens.

Richard was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Marse.

He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy Sue Jaco; his son, Byron Jaco; his daughters, Amy Michelle Hicks, Melisa Hempel; his sisters, Becky Whitt, Brenda Temple; his grandchildren, Daphne, Drake Jaco, Fiona, Jade, Sarah, Ferrah; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Richard was an avid western and Alabama football fan. He would take a western any way he could get it, be it on TV or in a book. He was a kindhearted man whose family will miss him greatly.
