Fritz Jerrell Suttles, 66, of Altoona, passed away on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020 at the Huntsville Hospital. He was born in Huntsville on Friday, March 13, 1953. He was a member of the Alder Springs Church of Christ and the Painter’s Local Union.

Fritz is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sam (Judy) Suttles; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Herren.

He is survived by his wife, Renae Herren Suttles; children, Scott (Pam) Smith, Chris (Amy) Suttles, Kelli Smith, Alicia (Aaron) Stone, Rebekah Suttles, Sarah Suttles, Hannah Suttles, Faith Suttles, River Suttles and Sebastian Suttles; eight grandchildren and one on the way; siblings, Jerry (Charlene) Suttles, L.W. (Barbara) Suttles and Sarah Morgan; a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held on Monday, Jan. 13, at Oak Hill Mausoleum. Mark Hastings officiated.

James Dobbs, 64, of Snead, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2020.

His funeral service was held Wednesday, Jan. 15 at Union Grove #2 of Mt. Hebron. Bro.’s Danny Skillman and Gary Smith officiated. Burial followed in Union Grove #2 Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dobbs; daughter, Tabatha Cannon (Jamie); son, Avery Dobbs (Nicole); seven grandchildren; sister, Shelia Morgan; brothers, Wayne Dobbs (Sheila), Jeff Morgan (Julie).

Jason Vaughn, 44, of Gadsden, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020.

His funeral was held Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Etowah Memorial Chapel. Interment followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Bro. Stanley Jones, Bro. David Lackey and Bro. Kevin Stephens officiated.

He is survived by his wife, Stacy Vaughn; daughters, Anna and Abbie Vaughn; step-daughter, Haven Seale; step-son, Hunter Smith; five grandchildren; parents, Coy and Debra Vaughn; grandmother, Audrey Redden; sister, Melissa Stephens (Stan).

Martha Faye Daniel, 90, of Horton, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2020.

Her funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. at Fairview Baptist Church of Nixon Chapel. Burial will follow in the adjacent cemetery. Bro. Glenn Pankey will officiate.

Mrs. Daniel is survived by her husband, Randolph Daniel; daughters, Kathy D. Dove (Randy), Cindy D. Grimes (Andy); son-in-law, Albert Canady; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Pragedes Lopez De Corona, 74, of Crossville passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020.

Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at the Chapel of the Holy Cross Church with burial to follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the funeral home. Father Raul will be officiating.

Mrs. Corona is survived by her children, Irene Corona, Juan Corona Jr., Maria Corona, Isidro Corona, Fortino Corona, Luis Corona, Marleni Corona, Jose Corona, Miguel Corona, Julie Corona, Daniel Corona; 26 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six Brothers and Sisters.

Linda Holt, 80, of Rutledge, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2020. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 16, in the Loganville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, located at 670 Tom Brewer Rd., Loganville, GA, 30052. Rev. Rusty Bagwell will officiate. Linda is survived by her husband, Jimmy Holt; children: Angela and Kurtis Holland, of Clover, South Carolina; Tracy and Edward Meeks, of Attalla; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law: Margaret and Gene Webb, of Claxton, Tennessee. The family received friends from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Tim Stewart Funeral Home.
