Ben Shurett: Presidential debate was great surprise to many

Posted: Friday, October 5, 2012 4:17 pm

If presidential debates were handicapped by bookies the way college football is, my guess is President Barack Obama would have been listed as about a 9-1/2 point favorite going into Wednesday’s match-up with GOP nominee Mitt Romney.

I’ve never bet on anything in my life – well, not with a bookie – but a 9-1/2 point favorite is a big spread. Obama is, in my opinion, as gifted a public speaker as any president in my lifetime.

I was surprised Barry didn't pitch a tantrum saying " no fair "! I bet the nutritional guru wife of his was really proud of his performance also. Getting owned is getting owned. Perhaps Big Bird can help him out of this epic fail.

Tom all obama has done was kill time and take vacations and play golf. Great president knowing how to bide his time. He knows how to waste time and do nothing.

I don't think think Obama "won" the debate, I think he was just biding his time, because he knew romney would eventually bury himself.

I thought Obama won the debate. It was very clear that Romney was putting on an act because he kept trying to sound like he actually cared about the 47% of Americans that he said wouldn't vote for him, most of which are from this state and many other southern states.

For those of you who don't know what I'm referring to, you should probably refrain from commenting.

Yes, good article Ben ! "But Obama was expected to slam dunk Romney ... Frankly, I was one who thought just that would happen." Yeah, you and two others on this comment pages, surprise, surprise !!
Now, plant some more articles by phony people like Mullins and Tom Cryar from St Pertersburg, Fla.
