Belinda Parker has withdrawn from the general election in November.

Parker qualified as a Democrat and was challenging Republican Andrea LeCroy for the office of probate judge of Marshall County.

Parker filed a notification of withdrawal with incumbent Probate Judge Tim Mitchell on Thursday. In the notification, Parker requested her name be withdrawn from consideration in the Nov. 6 general election. She also requested Mitchell remover her name from the ballot and authorized him to take all other necessary steps to fulfill the request.

Parker did not disclose her reason for withdrawing from the election.

The notification was signed Sept. 30 and filed with the Marshall County Probate Judge’s Office on Thursday.
