The Aggie Band will perform an exhibition Saturday night at 7:40 p.m. to close out the Northeast Alabama Marching Invitational

The Aggie Band will host the sixth annual Northeast Alabama Marching Invitational Saturday at Aggie Stadium.

Aggie Band Director Chris Lindley said this year’s show will feature some of the top bands in the area.

“The bands will be competing by classification from the smallest to the largest,” Lindley said. “We’ve got a great line up. There are a lot of great bands. Students are really looking forward to the show. They’ve put in a lot of work the last two weeks and are excited about performing for a larger crowd.”

A total of 14 bands will take part in the competition and the opening ceremony will bein at noon. Clark County will perform at 12:20 p.m., followed by Susan Moore at 12:40 and Boaz at 1 p.m. After a break, Brewer, Sardis and Mountain Brook will perform at 2, 2:20 and 2:40 p.m., respectively. The next five bands to perform are Cordova at 3:30 p.m., Haleyville at 3:40 p.m., Good Hope at 4 p.m., Scottsboro at 4:20 p.m. and Mortimer Jordan at 4:40 p.m.

After a dinner break, Muscle Shoals will perform at 6:20 p.m., followed by Oak Mountain at 6:40 p.m., Rome, Georgia, at 7 p.m. and Hewitt-Trussville at 7:20 p.m. Albertville will play an exhibition show at 7:40 p.m. and the awards ceremony will follow at 8 p.m.

Parking is $5 and admission is $6.
