Rev. Glenn Mason, 70, of Boaz, died Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Riverview Medical Center. Visitation was held Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at McRae Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held today, April 11, 2019, at 2 p.m. at New Emmaus Baptist Church with Bro. Harold Baugh, Bro. Wes Lowery and Bro. Daryl Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Rev. Mason is survived by his wife, Pauline Mason; son and daughter-in-law: Christopher (Amber) Mason of Cullman; daughter and son-in-law: Kim (Richard) Soper of Albertville; daughter, Jennifer Mason of Scottsboro; grandchildren Katelyn Soper, Allison Soper, Elijah Mason and Jacob Mason; brother and sister-in-law James (Linda) Mason of Boaz; brother Ralph Mason of Albertville; sisters Mary Ruth Turner of Boaz; Clara McHenry of Albertville and Venita Teague of Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Verna Mason; brothers John Paul Mason and Kenneth Mason. Honorary pallbearers are Jacob Holsonback, Brandon England, Ryan Dennis, Matthew Mason, Johnny McHenry and Gary McClendon.

Boaz

David Culbert, age 49, of Boaz, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital.

David was a wonderful husband, daddy and friend. He loved spending time with his family, Auburn football, NASCAR and just enjoyed life.

His funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Albertville Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Bro. David Umphrey will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Ronnie Watkins, Donnie Elliott, Frank Pajaron, Dano Smith, David Roundly and Ronald Smith.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, LeAnne Culbert, sons, Clay and Kobe Culbert, sisters, Mary West (Danny), Elaine Pritchett (Lamar) and Janet Watkins (Ronnie), nephew, Eric Watkins, niece, Jessica Pajaron, sister-in-law, Jane Pajaron (Frank), brother-in-law, Gene Hammett (Pam Lybrand) and mother-in-law, Dot Hammett.

He is preceded in death by his son, Dusty Culbert, parents, Elijah and Gwen Culbert and father-in-law, Johnny Hammett.

Joseph Elton Belles, 32, of Stanford Kentucky, died Saturday, March 30, 2019.

A funeral service was held Thursday, April 4, at 3 p.m. at Douglas Cemetery.

Survivors include parents William and Janice Belles of Kentucky; grandmother Jennie Ferguson Belles; several aunts and uncles; Carol Belles; Tony and Joan White; Joseph Jr. and Lucy Belles.

Survivors include spouse Dorothy “Dot” Lee; sons Mike, Keith and Brian Lee; four grandchildren.
