Lonnie Vaughn, Jr., 92, of Albertville, died Monday, April 29, 2019, at Huntsville Hospital.

A funeral service was held Friday, May 3, at 1 p.m. at McRae Funeral Home. Bro. Quinton Williams and Bro. Kyle Cantrell officiated. Burial followed in Memory Hill Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday, May 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include spouse, Louise Vaughn of Albertville; daughters, Pat (Bill) Lozo of Guntersville, Jane (Stanley) Parker of Florida, Marie Smith of Georgia and Dawn Vaughn of Albertville; grandchildren, Tommy Crabtree (Laura), David Pitts (Jennie), Karen Benedikt (Glenn), Tabitha Pratt (Chris), Jessica McKinney (Jesse), Stewart Parker (Amanda), Natasha Smith, Andrew Vaughn (Mollie) and Coltin Vaughn (Hope); great grandchildren, William Pitts, Tristen Pitts, Francisco Parker, Lillian McKinney, Hazel Parker, Tyler Benedikt and Meagan Pendley (Nick); great-great grandchild, Asher Pendley; and sisters, Wilma Rape of Georgia and Betty Cates of Georgia.

He is preceded in death by son-in-law, Sanford Smith.

Pallbearers were Tommy Crabtree, David Pitss, Stewart Parker, Andrew Vaughn, Coltin Vaughn and Ron Sealy. An honorary pallbearer was Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in Albertville.

Joseph Bryan Veal, Sr., 52, of Rainbow City, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. today, May 4, at Etowah Memorial Chapel. Rev. Greg Plimpton will officiate the service. Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. before the service.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Hubbard Veal; son, Joseph Bryan Veal, Jr.; father, Roger Veal; and sister, Vicki Turner (Todd).

Etowah Memorial Chapel is directing.

Howard Townson, 87, of Albertville, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 6, at 2 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Marshall Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. before the service.

Survivors include spouse, Tommie Townson; daughters, Jo Ann Buck and Carol Townson; son, Howard David Townson, Jr. (Dawn Hughes); sister, Mary Ivey; brothers, Billy Wayne Townson and Donald Wayne Townson; and four grandchildren.

Billy Champion, 71, of Albertville, died Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

A funeral was held Friday, May 3, at 11 a.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. Burial followed in Union FMC at Double Bridges.

Survivors include spouse, Belinda Champion; son, Chris (Ella) Champion; one grandchild; mother, Kathleen Alexander Pierce; and brother, Bobby (Brenda) Champion.
