Jerry E. Edins, Sr.
Formerly of Albertville
Jerry Eudene Edins, Sr., 80, of Temple, passed away at his residence on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019.
He was born on July 13, 1939, in Albertville, the son of the late Adolphus Edins and Ona Camp Edins.
Mr. Edins was a retired maintenance supervisor with Arbor Place Mall.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Phillips Edins; sisters, Faye Harry and Bobbie Craig; brothers, Ernest Edins and Donnie Edins.
Survivors include children, Chip and Lisa Edins of Lucedale, Mississippi, Donna Parker and Chase Mitchell of Marietta, Terry Edins of Riverdale and Shelia and Stuart Thompson of Calhoun; one brother, Thomas C. and Shelby Edins of Boaz; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 16, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Services will follow at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Hightower Funeral Home in Bremen with Dr. Corky Addison officiating. Jared Edins, Randy Havard, Ryan Thompson, Steve Harry, Bill Edins, Gary Graig, Alan Craig, Chase Mitchell and Steve Kelly will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in White Oak Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Albertville.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Homestead Hospice, 1 North Tennessee St., Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Billy McDowell, 87, of Boaz, died on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2019.
A graveside service will be held today, Thursday, Nov. 14, at Noon in the Beulah Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years; Willowdean Scott McDowell, of Boaz; daughter, Charlotte McDowell Williams, of Albertville; daughter-in-law, Shelia Sue Salter McDowell; four grandchildren, six great-grandsons; one great-great granddaughter; and brother, Gerald McDowell, of Boaz.
Ella Jay Shell
Ella Jay Shell, 88, of Crossville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 9, from the W.T. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in the Skirum Cemetery. Pastor EM (Doc) Shell and Rev. Paul Vick officiated.
She is survived by her brother, EM (Doc) Shell.
